We are so sad.

We grieve for our community, especially those people who have lost their homes. We are sad for the damage to the natural world, our forests and wildlife. Everyone has felt the impact. Among the hundreds on our mailing list, we fear there must be some who have been seriously and directly affected. Our thoughts are with you.

We had a number of activities scheduled for the next couple of weeks, including "What's Under the Wharf" in Narooma on Monday. Given the uncertainties and our wish to respect the many whose lives have been dislocated by the disaster, we have thought it best to cancel everything for now. However we are also conscious that there will be a yearning to return to some kind of normality. Many will want to have an opportunity of thinking about something other than the fires. So we will be looking to reschedule some of these activities when the situation is clearer.  Hopefully this will give people the option of renewing their engagement with the natural world and getting back to something a bit more positive.
